These slim blackbirds seem to be permanent residents of Oasis Valley, although they wander, perhaps following cattle herds, and are not seen every month each year. They visit bird feeders in yards, but flocks like grazed moist meadows and marsh edges where they can walk about after insects kicked up by livestock.
